May 2023 Community Litter Pick

It was a delight to litter pick around Abbey Park this month. Despite the hot weather this week, we found very little in the way of rubbish. However, when grass cutting starts cans can become shredded. This can cause a danger to the public, but in particular, children. Unfortunately we did find a lot of cans around the tree swings on the park. If you have children please warn them about the danger of leaving their litter lying around or that they are at risk of cutting themselves should they trip and fall.

If you've never joined us before, but feel like it's something you might like to do, please get in touch. We supply all equipment, we work in pairs and welcome newcomers. It's also lovely to meet new people :-)
